Happy St George's Day ! - and other news
Royal Mail intelligent letter processing offices applied a special slogan postmark yesterday for mail to be delivered today marking the English Saint's Day, here used at Tyneside Mail Centre (Newcastle Sunderland).

Romford MC is stuck in the past and is still congratulating Rosie Hargreaves who won the Royal Mail Christmas Stamp design competition, this one dated 22 March 2014
And proof that not only are modern commemoratives used on social mail, but also that they are used early in some cases. Here's the Barbara Ward 'Remarkable Lives' stamp used at South Midland Mail Centre on 24 March, the day before it's official issue.
