ICC Cricket World Cup Winners stamp issue - 26 September 2019

The long-drawn out process of obtaining permissions, chosing photos, designing the miniature sheets and getting them printed has now been completed and Royal Mail have launched the products today (or yesterday maybe if you saw Royal Mail's website!).

Technical Details:
Printed by International Security Printers (ISP) in litho, the sheets are 192 x 74 mm, with stamps 60 x 30 mm (Olympic landscape size).    Product codes MZ150 (Men's), MZ151 (Women's).

Miniature sheet, two first day covers, single presentation pack.
No stamp cards will be produced for this issue.

FDC Postmarking:  Special postmarks will be available for 28 days after issue date to allow collectors to choose which postmark to use.  Special Handstamps will be shown on Royal Mail's Postmark webpage when they have been proposed by sponsors and approved.

  1. For some reason, I'm not really bothered with this stamp edition, plus I hate Cricket with passion as a sport can be so boring to watch

  2. Of course the fundamental problem with this issue is, its simply too late. Obviously the process of a short notice issue needs to be streamlined and perhaps prepared in advance, if they are to do it successfully. THe addition of an event from two years ago as an afterthought to appease PC sensibilities is also laughable, if not actually insulting to the Women's team.

  3. I'm disappointed that after all that planning time they have come up with 8 rather similar images - no action shots available? No formal team picture? Compared to the 2003 Rugby World Cup or 2013 Andy Murray Wimbledon minisheets these are a bit feeble IMHO
