** 2nd MEIL M26L reported 21 April. As they have the same barcode date it suggests that only the iridescent ink cylinder was changed.
Perhaps we shall have some KCIII English definitives now that it has been necessary to print KCIII make-up values. Whether any Post Offices would stock them though is doubtful. Sought some in the Strand PO on a visit to London last week; as it was recommended here; but was told that they still sell commemoratives, but country stamps no longer.
ReplyDeleteIan, you can add 2nd class MEIL M26L from booklet of 8 to the list. These were first reported a few days after the philatelic release, and I now have a copy.. Possibly of interest to some is that the barcode date (120126) is the same on both the M25L and M26L versions.

DeleteThe 1st Business Sheet (MBIL) with M26L has now appeared. As expected, it has the revised Relay UK telephone number.
ReplyDeleteThe 50p counter sheet with M26L has been issued. It was first reported on 30 July (sorry, I forgot to report it here until today). The sheet print date was said to be 28/04/26 - though I've yet to see a photograph of a full sheet.

This morning a single 1st MEIL M26L appeared for sale on eBay. Unfortunately it isn't possible to see whether the 8x1st booklet it came from has the new Relay UK telephone number (though I would guess that it does). The RM website isn't advertising a new 8x1st - but there have been occasions in the recent past where new printings have appeared "in the wild" before being offered from Tallents House.

DeleteI've asked them if they can be made available at least to dealers. Likewise we have not had a new list of counter sheet printings (your comment of 11th) for over 18 months.
The first of the NVI counter sheet stamps has now appeared on a certain auction site. Not very surprisingly it's the 2nd class version. The sheet print date isn't yet known, but the barcode date is 040826 and so it has clearly been put into use very quickly after printing.
