Sindelfingen
Royal Mail will attend the Sindelfingen exhibition on 29-31 October
2015.
Machines A007 and A009 will carry Union Flag, Machin and Lion,
Poppy respectively.
European Collector strips of four stamps (1st Class,
Euro 20g/World 10g, Europe 100g and Worldwide 20g) will be introduced
for the first time.
Standard Collector Strips of 6 stamps will also be
available. Overprint will be ‘Sindelfingen October 2015’
Paris
Royal Mail will be attending the Salon de philatelique d’automne in
Paris on 5-8 November 2015.
Machines A007 and A009 will carry Union

European Collector strips of

Why issue a strip with less values, collectors will either want examples of all the possible values or a specimen example (value) for their collections. Is this preparation for a second Royal Mail strip along the lines of Gibraltar for us? If so what values will be added?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the reason behind issuing a collectors strip of four stamps and calling it a 'European Collectors' strip as well as the standard strip of six stamps? Why would Europeans want a set of four anyway when then have been quite happy with six? Surely this can't be to make more money out of the collector!
ReplyDeleteAnother example of "rip off Britain". Why would "Europeans" want just four out of the six Sea Travel designs, for example? RM marketeers will see sales of P&G gradually drop-off across the board and wonder why, no doubt. How long before collectors wake-up to the fact that they are being taken for a bunch of total mugs? I get really angry over this and I do not even collect the stuff!
ReplyDeleteIt’s more to do with the way in which European collectors collect Frama & Klusendorf labels.
ReplyDeleteIt’s us who are out of step (and not for the first time) with the rest of the Europe who content themselves with 3 or 4 values. The market for sales in mainland Europe is greater that the domestic one, so guess who they will cater for.
If they do away with the 1st Large and Worldwide up to 100g, it will cost less for us

Machines A008 and A009 will vend the Hong Kong stamp from the Sea Travel set, issued in September, as well as the Union Flag. The Hong Kong stamp reels will be produced on a digital press rather than the original gravure printing.
As previously announced a GB version will be available from Tallents House’. I missed this announcement

I've really no idea what you are writing about ? ! How are the Olympic Gold Medal stamps in any way relevant to Post and Go?

The Hong Kong Post and Go stamps will be produced in the same way as all other Post and Go stamps.
DeleteThe picture of Hong Kong Harbour and background is printed by International Security Printers* and the black service indicator and caption is printed by the vending machine. Apart from those sold in 'Presentation Packs' by Royal Mail's Bureau, that's how they have all been printed since they started.
* The only difference is that these rolls will have only Hong Kong pictures: the same way that the Robin, Poppy, and Lion have been produced.
