Working Sail Faststamps - Wincor-Nixdorf machines

The next issue of Post and Go stamps will be issued on 18 February, and depict paintings of  sailing boats.

These will be available from Post Office branches, and at Stampex and other non-postal venues.

Most of the branch machines are NCR Self-Service kiosks but some Wincor-Nixdorf Post and Go machines are still operating, and may be supplied with the new stamps.

The list in last November's blog is, according to PO Ltd, is still valid although the Wincor machines are due to be decommissioned by 31 March.

  1. Do you know if there will be Stampex overprints (additional inscriptions) on these and/or Machins & Union Flag?

    1. As usual, nobody has told us anything far enough in advance to ask all customers to consider what they want us to get!

    2. Why can't Royal Mail just have standard overprint for all non pictorial issues from Stampex with maybe just the text Stampex and the date of either Spring or Autumn. This would be so much easier for everyone.

  2. I visited Chester le Street yesterday and the machine was issuing undated Machins.
I enquired with a member of staff about other stamps they may be putting in the machine before they closed (February/March) and was informed they were not planning to put any new stamps in.
Not very helpful or bothered to be honest.

  4. Plans to relocate the St Vincent Street Branch in Glasgow to Renfield Street, have fallen through. The new location for the office is expected to be West Nile Street, this time with 6 NCR machines 3 more than at present and will be known as Glasgow Crown Office, if this move goes through the relocation is expected to occur in April 2015.

  6. Balham’s franchise plans have been made public, no mention of Post & Go Self Service machines.

According to Post Office Branch Finder, Macclesfield’s new office within WHS has Post & Go Self Service Machines, as the W-N machine was removed prior to its franchise details being announced, and no mention of any machines in the published documents, it can only be assumed that it’s yet another error on their database.
