I think that's unfair. They say that Murray will get his own US Open win Postmark (quite rightly so too), and then say they can't because of problems. Very harsh.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly seems pretty harsh. It has triggered some re-evaluation of the relevant policies, so perhaps it will not happen again.

I found someone via Postcrossing in the US with their own postmark, because they had a mailer's postmark permit...

ReplyDeleteIn short, postmarks are not available in the places named, they are applied in special philatelic postmarking centres to ensure high-quality production and handling.
